Every player has low baseball IQ

I have spent many hours setting up a fictional league and simulating a hundred years of history. I created a QuickSave and started a new game from it, then realized that I never turned on "Use player personality ratings." When I turned it on, it set every player in the game to have a Baseball IQ rating of Low.

I've tried using earlier QuickSave versions to start new games, and turning the feature off and on again, and each time gotten the same result. Games started from different QuickSaves (e.g. Daniel's Saline USBL QuickStart) do not have this problem. It renders the game unplayable. Is there anything I can do, or is this QuickSave in which I invested 100+ hours useless?

Each player can be edited and recalculated after you populate the fields that are all 0 values but there is no league wide randomization for those fields that I know off. I don’t export and edit and reimport csv files of players so maybe another can speak to that and if it would be easier. . I’d go to key players and populate them and hit the individual recalculation button that is their current type (likely unmotivated). As they age and new players come up, the newly created players should be fine.

But again go to a player bio editor page upper right to edit values.

I appreciate this response, which helped me to figure out that the game set every player's Baseball IQ value to 0 when I turned on the feature. So it is true that subsequent created players are having that number randomized. This knowledge doesn't really help with the quickstart that I spent about 130 hours developing and simming, unless I decide to sim 20 years ahead and leave behind what would have to be known as the Idiocracy Era of baseball in this world. I am experimenting with trying to use a template to start over in 1900. Thanks.

I had the same experience starting a league using historical players. The initial seasons virtually every player - Ty Cobb, Honus Wagner etc - had a low iq. As seasons passed it gradually became more balanced.
