Matching Stats

Why don't stats match in all places? They can only be calculated one way, so why isn't there a single table that calculates and store stats? Why do I see one quite different ERA when looking at the rotation versus looking at the pitcher's historical record for the current year? Or the batter's BA? or OBP? or R? Why is there more than one version of these stats?

When I pull a pitcher out of the rotation, why does his position status automatically and immediately switch to RP? He's not an RP, he's a resting SP. Why is OOTP automatically changing these folks to RPs?

Why does it take two clicks to get to the OOTP Start Screen. First click just floats away with no apparent effect. Only the second click initiates the action.
