Deadball Era & Max Pitch Counts

I have found that great young starters (those with blue prospect ratings), such as Christy Mathewson and Frank Owen, are being kept to strict max pitch counts of 110 and below by the computer strategists. These are pitchers with top-notch RUN ratings and should not be on any kind of leash. They average about 5-10 complete games a season under those watchful eyes; their counterparts routinely finishing off an average of 85-100% of the games they start. I think you'd agree, this is highly unrealistic for the era and frankly seems geared towards only the modern games way of thinking.

Tell me, is there a way to turn this faulty computer strategy off so that I can get an accurate amount of innings from these (highly competent) hurlers?

The only way to totally over ride this is to set the teams to human ownership and adjust the team tendencies yourself.
