Contract Expired/Declined Team Option but player is still on team

Reporting for a viewer.

Player stayed on roster even after declining team option. Pictures attached of how contract appeared in editor, salaries tab, and contract tab. When attempting to release layer it gave noticed that the user would still owe the $10m.

Declining the option doesn't change that he's an arb eligible player. If he wasn't wanted on the team, he would need to be released prior to arbitration being awarded.

Though I would expect to see a log entry for his current contract, so that's odd.

Yeah, the person I reported it for said the player never appeared on the arb screen as being available to negotiate with. It seems it could possibly lie somewhere within the option where international free agents become free agents (or not) after contracts expire. Although they did just leave the setting default. Kay did enter the league through the MLB draft but he also played in Japan and then returned to the MLB so the idea popped into my head maybe it was related to that somehow? Zero clue. Lol
