London Jaguars?

Is it me? Or is the NFL slowly working towards the Jags becoming the first international NFL team? I mean really...back to back London games?!

Their owner asked for those games. While asking for public $ to remodel their stadium. Told he still sleeps well at night.

It seems there's 1 or 2 international games added every year. In a league with so few games per season, when does it become too much?

Only when the revenue stream dries up, and that's not in the foreseeable future.

When it stops being profitable. I've said this before & I will say it again......"I don't see any foreign league playing regular season games in the USA. Only US dominated NAmerican teams do this."

They demand public tax dollars for billion dollar stadiums to generate private profits and scheme w/politicians to claim they have an economic impact on their locales. Then take away home games & give them to foreigners who didn't pay for crap.

But hey, let's ignore all that & get back to defunding Medicaid, school lunches & school programs.

My son, a huge Eagles fan, now lives in Jacksonville. Not a Jaguars fan. Since he has been there, the Jags have not played the Eagles at home. He was really excited for this year. As Jags' tickets are readily available, we were considering making it a family event. Now, we'll all have to fly over to London!

That's another thing that get me about these int'l games. Teams may be scheduled to play each other every 4 years minimum, but they aren't guaranteed to play in each NFL city every 4 years. Transplants & others may only have one opportunity in a decade or more to see their hometown team come to their city. & I don't think it is fair for divisional opponents to have their game overseas. One team gets a home game & the other at best a neutral site game.

NFL moves to schedule 10 international games.

And they also vote to disallow teams from protecting 2 home games. So if you are a Cowboys fan living in an AFC city, your opportunity to see your favorite team in the stadium your taxes helped pay for might be given to Qatar. Or that Steelers matchup the Baltimore fans look forward to every year might someday belong to Minsk. And if you became a Patrick Mahomes fan in Minneapolis you might get to see KC play the VIkings in Istanbul.

After 16 games internationally is accomplished, then what? A playoff game? A Super Bowl? Many doubt it, but it wouldn't shock or surprise me at all.

Oh they have already talked about an overseas SB. It's just a matter of time.

I can't help but think the owner, Shahid Khan, has asked for all these games in London because of his other sports businesses in England. This allows him to "show off" all of his assets to build brand partnerships, working relationships between ventures, etc.

Those rich folk want what those rich folks want, eh.

Have pity on those poor rich folks. They barely scraping by on a measly few hundred billion dollars. They don't even know where their next yacht is coming from....they need all the water and lectricity to feed they AI bots so they can do away with all us messy humans. (Sob)
