Introducing the UKBA - The Fictional League of the United Kingdom

I have been playing OOTP for a long time, and I create a lot of fictional leagues but usually I stop before they are completely set up. Well, I finally got one ready to go.

Introducing the United Kingdom Baseball Association

A new era begins today as the United Kingdom Baseball Association officially opens. Founded in 1999 by the “Founding Nine,” the league brings together clubs from across England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.
With two leagues, eight divisions, and a mission to grow baseball across the British Isles, the UKBA aims to blend British identity with the timeless rhythm of the sport. Opening Day is on April 4th, 2000, and it marks the first step in a bold new chapter for UK athletics.

WHAT IS THE UKBA?
Founded: January 15, 1999
Teams: 24 in each league (6 teams per division)
Games: 162
Structure: The House of Lords League (Divisions: Big Ben, Giant’s Causeway, Westminster Abbey, Loch Ness Monster) & The House of Commons League (Divisions: Fingal’s Cave, Castle Rushen, Dunluce Castle, Piccadilly Circus)

Playoffs:
Top 2 teams in each division make the playoffs

1st round is the Wild Card Round (8 teams)
2nd round is the Battle Royale Round (4 teams)
3rd round is the League Championship Series (2 teams)

The Championship is: The Brittania Cup Series (7 game series)

The UKBA was created to unify regional clubs and introduce baseball as a national pastime for a new generation.

THE FOUNDING NINE: ARCHITECTS OF BRITISH BASEBALL
The UKBA was built by nine visionaries representing every corner of the UK. Their goal: create a league rooted in regional pride, competitive balance, and community identity. Their work laid the foundation for the sport’s future across the British Isles.

Awesome! I will be posting the preseason predicted standings later today but not good news for Whitehaven. They are predicted to finish last.

This was the 1st injury of the season on Jan.16th 2000. He may need a clause in his contract preventing him from doing household repairs.

Peterborough starting pitcher Alexander Lilly will miss up to a week of action after suffering minor injuries to his hand while making household repairs. "I never was much of a handyman," joked Lilly. Team medical personnel have indicated that Lilly has a hand contusion and a bruised thumb.

I know very little about the UK. How related to the cities are the team names? It clearly looks like some of them are (Rippers, Friars, etc), but are all of them? I love the name Bolton Robots of Doom, and to my surprised they were a real team! I love seeing unique team names.

I know that Brighton and Liverpool's names are based on their soccer teams, but other than that idk. I do see the 3-peating FCBL champs Norwich Sea Unicorns! You got logos bsmuke?

Some of the teams are actual soccer/rugby or even basketball teams for that city. A few are fictional names and some were cities that were also cities elsewhere that had teams created for them. Bangor for example. All of the teams fictional or real have been created by other users. Mostly isedelyod but also from the following low, bchevy, Khephren, gregisawesome13 and Trek2300. many thanks to the creators of the Teams/Unforms/Logos/Caps.
