So...How's Everybody Doing in PT 27?
I'm in High Gold and currently in a tight three-team race for first place. Made the playoffs last week (and eight of twelve seasons) but got knocked out in the division round, so this is still my high-water mark in league play.
Tournaments OK. I've racked up close to 800 CS. Also closing in on 1000 packs opened. 141 of 160 missions complete, including all Launch, Live, and Negro League. About 15,000 points from PT Live and 160,000 from live spec. Best card pull was Willie Mays from a Standard Pack. Also grabbed Ripken (Historical Perfect), Steinfeldt (Historical Rainbow), and Lyons (Standard). The lineups and staff: Ca - Mauer / Campanella 1B - McGriff / Adcock 2B - Cano / Steinfeldt 3B - Jackie SS - Ripken LF - Speaker CF - Mays RF - Cobb DH - Dykstra / Balentien SP - Paige SP - Guidry SP - Sweeney SP - Lanier SP - Lyons RP - Beuhler RP - Hubbell RP - Friend RP - Petty RP - Hoffman RP - Fossas CL - Betances Obviously missing Pujols, Frank Robinson, and a number of pitchers. Still, not bad for FTP at this point. |

27 vs 26
DIFFERENT ANIMAL. WANT BATTERS STRUCK OUT (HIGH STU) MORE THAN WELLS GRINDING (LOW STU) GBs in 26.
<end CAPS> Taking my 15-30 Cards/day. Doing the math. Every "NEW" build fudges ODDS against the math. Last edited by Dr.Drill; 06-04-2026 at 01:12 PM. |

All 3 teams in low silver, headed for high bronze. I wonder if it might be time to complete the live missions?

First (Iron) season went better than I expected. Stayed close in the wild card thanks to getting packs through Twitch drops, and ended up in a 1-game playoff for the last WC spot, which I lost. Second (Iron) season, I ended with the league's best record, and barely won the conference in 7 games, and then lost the World Series in 7 games to a team that was two games above .500 (FML, I think he bought a Perfect pack or two ahead of the playoffs, because boy was juiced).
Third season I was promoted up to High Bronze, and was summarily trounced by all the all-Diamond & Perfect line-ups, finishing last in my division @ 0.438; ironically the only season so far that has ended on a win. Relegated to Low Bronze for the next season, and took the division and first round bye, only to lose in the second round in 5 games in best-of-5, Currently in my fifth season, back in High Bronze getting stomped and under .500, however every once in a while I get to stomp one of those all-Diamond & Perfect teams. I have played in half-a-dozen tournaments and gotten 2nd twice in iron- or bronze-only. Waiting to see where I land in today's Daily Iron. Twitch drops and the daily drop are my main sources for packs, but I am keeping up with my Missions so I get the packs there as well. So far have not rage-bought any PP or Perfect packs out of frustration for my teams' performances. OOTP 27 is my first OOTP, and I have every intention of playing a regular game, but so far any time I am in-game, I am in Perfect Team. Update (6/15/26, because I ended up back here): Swirled the bowl in High Bronze for two seasons, winning a few more games each year, but was relegated to Low Bronze even with a 0.481 because of a relatively balanced league. Over 300 packs opened by my estimate, but no Perfects except for one I have unlocked through Missions. Messed with some alternative pitching strategies to try for a risk/reward outcome but found it to be middling, as it basically seemed to 'rubberband' my performance where I would do better for 10-15 games, then do worse for another 10-15, then repeat. Still have not paid any real money for PP or packs. Also, have not played in the regular game yet, probably because I have not found a guide that walks me through setup.

Is there a way to see how many points/clubhouse stars I've earned total, or is this just how many you have right now?
From the info that I know how to find: F2P but with early-order Roy Campanella card. Currently in last place in Low Diamond, will be going back to High Gold next week where I belong. Completed 157 missions including all Launch and all Live. 16,493 points from PT Live--I really don't know how people are able to routinely be good at that, especially with the restrictions of only so many cards per level. 7 playoff appearances, with losing World Series in 7 games my best performance. Over 1000 packs opened (don't know how many more, I'm just seeing I have the sticker). Team Ranking at 94. Don't know how to tell what players I should use in tournaments, so mostly using AI and grinding out 5 CS at a time. Best pull may have been a "He played where?" Kevin Brown Perfect because I was able to sell him for 115k. Also pulled Perfect Cal Ripken. Can't remember what card packs they were, though--probably Historical Perfect from mission rewards. |

No real way to check that other than looking back through transaction history. I just keep a mental picture of it and could be a little bit off. I have 100 CS right now. About half of what I've gotten went into Satchel Paige and Diamond Jackie. The remainder was spent on Silver tournament cards and two batches of Standard packs right after some new cards dropped.

Twitch drops are the bomb!
After my last FTP team finished the Live missions, I decided to start a team (at about 8:30 EDT on Wednesday). The first thing I did was complete the Oriole missions to get Hoiles, he was the easiest available Diamond. Then I started working the Level 1 missions, just going into the card shop, sorting the live cards by ascending order of sell price. Got a login reward with my starter pack, but the whole 7 packs were meh - my Gold was Koenig, the Brewers' reliever.
The team ran overnight and picked up enough PP's for achievements to complete a few level 1 missions, and I hooked my Twitch drops to the account to get more packs. Nothing really out of the ordinary happened, I didn't pull any perfects out of a pack, but I got all the L1 missions completed by 2:15 on Thursday. I had pulled diamond Robby Thompson as my only real diamond keeper, and with the Perfect Pack I got for the L1 missions I pulled Berra, so now the core of my offense was two catchers and a second baseman. There were a couple of L2 missions that gave me diamond cards and I started on them. By the time I went to bed, I had a team that had only a few silvers on it, and Berra was still my only perfect. I had pulled a live Hunter Greene who I sold. That let me complete a bunch of the L2 missions, most of them required between 3000 and 8,000 PP's over and above the L1 mission cards. And I had pulled a live Trout from one of the packs; since he was in a mission and selling him for a nice premium, I put him up for sale with two lower offers out there, he sold overnight and coupled with the achievement points I got, I woke up to about 13,000 PP's. I started knocking down missions, and quickselling most of the diamonds I was piulling from the packs. Right now, at 7:30 AM, I need about 25,000 PP's to complete the live missions. I have a team with Hubbell, Buehler, Hoffman, McGriff, and Dykstra, in addition to Friend and Faber. I have only a few Golds. And my first opponent this morning will be playing its first game and facing Hubbell. I am hoping to get the PP's I need by the time my next login pack drops, so I will have competed the Live missions in 48 hours with an FTP team, two days worth of Twitch drops, and four pity packs from perfect drafts. |

199 Catchers
<Mauer / Campanella>
Mauer so underrated. Cheap and .275/.350 over 4 seasons. Yogi as back up doing what Yogi does (thx OOTP). Home runs and ground balls. |

Saw Barry Hit Bombers at Pac Bell in early 2000s
I feel bad for Mark McGuire. In Barry's drug shadow for a decade.
Our dog now sleeps on the SF Giants blanket we bought July 4th 2004. Took my son for the fireworks, which were hidden in the cold fog. Cold as f***. |

Really?
Bonds started doing roids (according to him anyway) because he he wanted to show what someone with hitting talent would do when using them.

Cool. It's one of those things that I know isn't going to be a priority for the game because it really doesn't matter, but it would be cool to be able to see it somewhere for those of us who are curious.

Phew! Survived a three-team race in High Gold last week, winning the division (and best conference record) by one game over the second-place finisher and two games over the third. One of the tightest races I've been in. None of the three teams trailed by more than six games at any time, and the lead changed hands multiple times.
In the playoffs, I knocked off the second-place team (winner of their Wild Card series) in the division round, took out the other top division winner for conference championship, but lost the Series in seven games. I'd forgotten how nice the CS rewards are for finishing second at High Gold. 150 CS was nice, as was the 50,000-point bonus for first promotion to Low Diamond. All in all, a very satisfying week, especially since the team is 10-8 so far in Low Diamond. |

Had a brief stint in Perfect league, but now my main team is struggling.
1st time I tried a pack only team that Lap hosts. Not sure how many packs I had to open to recently finish the live missions. My team tends to lose 9 straight at the end of the season to miss the playoffs. I guess I need to open better packs late in the season. Lastly, my theme team struggles every week that EVC hosts. Need better foreign-born players.

Japanese were underperformers, other than Suzuki, for how many generations?
No one took Venezuelan players like Andrés Galarraga seriously. It had to be Dominican Big Popi or nothing else.. |

There are a lot of mediocre-to-bad Diamonds that can be sold for 4-6K. I funded a new team (FTP) through completion of all the Live missions last week by selling off the bad ones and the no-longer-needed Live Diamonds.
Thought about selling off all the Diamonds and replacing them with Gold or Silver cards (the strategy you mentioned), but I kept them around because I've still got nearly 40K and prospects for adding a lot of achievement points in this week's run through Iron league (18-2 so far). I've got the eight Perfects from Live series plus Harry Steinfeldt as my pull from the Perfect pack. Six of the active Diamonds are mission rewards. The rest are pack pulls or Negro League purchases (gotta get those five Historical Diamond packs for Negro League arms, it's a double-whammy mission with great rewards and excellent cards for lower-level leagues). |
