invalid player file

i sent an email to support but i open the game and get the invalid player file error and then the ootp5 has encountered a problem and will be shut down. i did a system restore with windows xp to an earlier version i also noticed in my league files the onewith players in the dat file is 0kb not sure if that matters but i assume it does. is there anything i can do to get my league back?
Please don't tell me i have to start over.

its an online league as well.

Restore from a backup.

Otherwise, without a backup of the league then you will need to start all over.

Backup. Backup. Backup.

Data does not exist until it is located in 3 different places.
