kimohan Bat Boy Join Date: Jul 2002 Location: Seattle Posts: 12	Wrong pitcher gets the loss I assume this problem has been discussed before, but I couldn't find any reference to it by searching for "losing pitcher." Bottom of 9th, score tied, 1 out. Buddy Groom gives up a single to the next batter, whereupon the AI lifts Groom in favor of Kerry Ligtenberg. Next batter hits a double, and the runner scores to end the game. The box score identifies Ligtenberg as the losing pitcher, even though Groom was responsible for the runner that scored the winning run. That's just not right. . . .
