I have downloaded numerous add-on team logo files but when I go to use them, they seem to have a transparent quality that lets the OOTP4 logo bleed thru and distort the image. Before you jump to a solution too quickly, I should point out that I have adjusted all the 0, 0, 0 colors (true black) to 1, 1, 1 and it had no visible improvement. I even double-checked that the "black" colors are actually 1, 1, 1 with Paint Shop Pro 7. Also, all these images are 150 * 150 pixels. Any ideas?

Try a slightly more drastic solution ... I use 4,4,8, and have no problems. Also try all combinations of DirectX on/off and windowed mode on/off, and run the game in 16-bit color.
I had to do each of these to get the game to finally work right.

Apply "brightness" to, say, 2 or 3, and the problems should be gone.
