Hamsho's trainer during the early part of his career was
Paddy Flood, and he was managed by Al Braverman who also served as his Cut Man. During the latter part of his career he was managed and trained by Al Certo, and Al Silvani served as his Cut Man. Greg

I've always wondered about this rating. Hamsho did pretty good in his first fight against Hagler. Do you think he's underrated in the game? I would say he was past his prime in his second attempt.

Jim, I to believe Hamsho may have been past his prime in the
second Hagler fight, and I do believe he is underated in the game, but Hagler was the best of his era as well as one of the best of all times. Greg
