Danny Williams is a British heavyweight now best known for his stunning knockout of 'Iron' Mike Tyson in the fourth round of their July 2004 encounter. Until then Williams wasn't a well known fighter outside of his homeland in England. Williams has often been seen as a fighter who can beat anyone if he is mentally prepared. For Danny Williams to be at his best psychologically, he needs a challenge.

Williams once dislocated his shoulder in a fight with Mark Potter, but fought on to knock Potter out with one arm. His heart has never been questioned. A genuinely nice guy outside of the ring, Williams earned himself a World Heavyweight Title shot against WBC King Vitali Klitschko with his demolition of Mike Tyson. However, things did not go to plan and though Williams showed enormous bravery, he was picked apart and outclassed and knocked out in the 8th.

Williams has been advised by many to hang up his gloves, but it is very unlikely that he will retire from the sport. By lasting 8 rounds against Vitali Klitschko, Williams has given himself a slight chance of appearing in a major fight in America again. It will be interesting to see what happens to the Brixton Bomber in 2005.
