Kendrys Morales signed a 3 year contract totaling $16.2 mil. to play for the Tampa Bay Rays. Last season playing for Seattle Morales hit .262 with 27 HR and 77 RBI. Morales will play 1B and bat third for the Rays.

Now well look at all of our pitchers heading into the spring.

We have agreed to terms with 25 year old C Austin Romine on a 2 year $1.92 mil. deal. The 2 year deal offers us some stability at the position as Russell Martin will be a free agent after next season. Romine is very good defensively and can handle the bat ok. We feel he's a solid addition to the club.

So now the roster is set and now is a perfect time to outline the 40-man roster heading into camp. Our plans are to have 12 pitchers, 2 catchers, 4 outfielders and 7 infielders. Well...

The winter meetings came and went pretty quietly and its really been a quiet off season so far. Most of the big named free agents are still on the board and there really hasn't even been many rumors flying.

We came away from the meetings pretty happy though as we were able to reach a deal for 27 year old 1B Chris Davis from the Orioles in exchange for 27 year old SS Jordy Mercer. Davis had a batting line of .269/.307/.489 with 30 HR and 84 RBI in 2013 and will start the season platooning...
