I told myself that I wouldn't do it tonight but it was 1-1 and I gave in to better instincts.

Alex Lange: AL Reliever of the Month in May, blown save champion in June. Ugh.

He looked like he was in porns in 1976.

Now he probably looks naked despite wearing his uniform.

Baddoo taken out of the lineup with a leg issue. Not much left on the farm to call up.

A grand slam makes it 9-2. Gibby - "Well, that's demoralizing"

Optimism tank on fumes

I'm so fed up with my $325M team that can't hit, can't pitch, can't field, can't even stay in one damn piece... I'll just watch your $125M team that can't hit, can't pitch, can't field, can't even stay in one damn piece now.

Kirk Gibson, not one to mince his words: "That hurts, 2-out knock."

Network notes:

Miggy - two doubles, ties Winfield for 22nd all-time in hits; keep living your dream!
Boyd - not terrible, but sure not great, perhaps a bit unlucky
That Lineup - sheeeesh...

Placed OF Akil Baddoo on the 10-day IL. Recalled INF/OF Nick 'whotheheckisthat' Solak from Toledo (IL).

Today was crushing. Carpenter swung a big bat but his poor play in left was hard to watch.

Other than Dylan Crewes and Paul Skenes, the most likely first two picks, the Tigers will have a lot of talent to choose from. The draft is loaded with hitters that have either proven themselves in college or dominating high school ball.

With all that said, since the Tigers are going to have to start winning soon, I think they should go with a college hitter like Wyatt Langford (from UF). There are a few high school outfielders, Jenkins and Clark, who probably have a higher ceiling and hit from the left side, but come with higher risk being straight out of prep school. Whereas Langford would be a consensus top pick any other year, if a certain two other players (see beginning of post) in his conference weren't around. And I think he'll be MLB ready much sooner than the others, which again, the Tigers have to start considering soon.
I absolutely agree with you, I really hope they will succeed. By the way I am also a student at the college and I must say that I would like to participate in this, but the problem is that I have to do a lot of writing, so I am thinking of using this source https://studymoose.com/free-essays/why-marijuana-should-be-legalized but the problem would be that I don't know how the college will react to this, because if they have some system that detects plagiarism then I could be kicked out. Besides that I specifically want this source because there are interesting topics here like why marijuana should be legalized.

Vierling and Carpenter are back on the roster. Brieske and Manning are on AAA rehab assignments. Skubal and Mize are on track to return over the summer (Skubal is pitching in AA now). I can't find anything on Greene or ERod but they at least have not been moved to a longer IL status.

All good news for a team that had nearly half of what would be their MLB roster on the IL.

I always believe in taking best overall talent.

My only exception would be if you have a position that is so blocked by a sure thing young star.

But in today's game, the minors do a good job of teaching a player a secondary position and with the DH things are not so blocked anymore at getting them players PAs.

And no offence to the Tigers, but they seem to need talent all over the field. So take the best overall.

Can any Tiger fan confirm if this is true?
The Braves broadcast is obviously biased, but states that Braves management and coaching staff are very upset with how last night was handled with the rain delay and postponement.
They state that the game officials and MLB told them that the game would start at 8:45 EST and then the tarp came back out with no explanation and they had Strider still warming up.
It seems there was a lot of confusion about that second delay and then postponement and they had Strider throw a lot of extra pitches to keep warm because they thought there was a chance the game would start.

They alluded that the Tigers were also upset with how the delays were handled.
Is that true?
