A 1992 book called BASEBALL TREASURES, by Douglas Congdon-Martin and John Kashmanian has two pages worth of images of the 1888 Manchester players, including the full photos of the three you are seeking. My scanner does a poor job of capturing these, but you'll get the idea from what I've inserted below. I think the captions on the first set are legible. In the second set, the upper tier (left to right) are James L. Clinton, manager; Theodore J. Scheffer, center field; John J. "Handsome Jack" Carney, first base; William F. KLusman, second base; and William Irwin, pitcher. In the lower tier are John J. "Chief" Kelly, left fielder; David Coughlin, right fielder; Owen "Spider" Clark, catcher; E.J. Doyle, fielder; and E.W. Ellis, pitcher.

Sadly Kashmanian passed away last December so who knows what will become of his vast baseball memorabilia collection.

Honestly, if I was him, I'd have them donated to cooperstown in my will, so that nothing happens to them. That's what I plan to do with some of the things in my collection if/when i die.

Suggest you check with Cooperstown staff before making such plans. They get far more donation offers than they have space to accommodate. It would be comforting to know they would accept what you intend.

Mike Jordan 1890

Not the basketball player, but a brief major leaguer who spent time on the terrible 1890 Pittsburgh team. He is pictured here in a substantial upgrade with the 1886 Manchester club (courtesy of the nice folks at the Manchester Historical Society).

is there any known better quality photos of Frank Ringo? I attempted to enhance the quality of the only known image i could find and didn't have any luck in doing so as it just blurred it worse.

If you click on "Search This Thread" and enter the name of the player you're interested in, you will get links to the posts that include that name. There are several posts for Frank Ringo, including one by Cinemaodyssey with an image that may be what you are looking for.

Jacob Doyle 1872

...
-Is Jacob Doyle who played in 1872 the same man as the J. Doyle in the 1870 Rockford Forest Citys team photo (Rockford's Doyle is the image shown on Jacob's b ref page but something tells me its not the same man because Jacob would have been like 14 at the time and the man in the photo looks older than that)

Doyle was a 16-year-old middle infielder for the 1872 Washington Nationals, near his hometown of Leesburg, VA. In addition to the age of the 1870 Forest Citys subject (Doyle would have been at most 14 years old at the time the picture was taken), the distance between Doyle's hometown and Rockford indicate that this is not the 1872 Major Leaguer.

I have removed the Doyle image from the facepack and added him to the Missing Player List.

While Bass and Cavanaugh died relatively young, Doyle lived a long life and was a Lieutenant Commander in the Navy following his baseball career, maybe via Ancestry there might be a military or passport photo of him?

The papers refer to him almost exclusively as "J.D. Doyle" or "Commander Doyle" for the duration of his life.
Doyle was re-inserted into the Missing Player List in 2011, after reaching the same conclusion. Baseball-Reference continues to show the old photo, regardless of that finding. Last year, Cinemaodyssey located a photo of Doyle (last linked post, above), 50 years post-career, at which time Doyle was again removed from the Missing Player List.

Howie Camp?

The first image is from SABR. The second image is from a group of 10 unlabel photos from an auction of Love of the Game Auctions. 10 names were given for the photos Howie Camp was one of those names. Camp played 5 games for the 1917 Yankees. This was the match which I feel looks like him. Any opinions are welcome.

Jim Creighton?

I found this random picture on ebay of someone claiming to have found this rare picture of Jim Creighton and they put a side by side comparison. There are some facial details that look similar but im not entirely convinced which is why i am posting this here since every sabr person who specializes in this stuff ignored me for months on it. However, the 2 known photos of Creighton show him looking off to the side a bit so his full face isnt visible in either but in this one, the man in gthe photo is looking straight forward. I was told by a friend that she thought it was Levi Meyerle at first glance but I honestly have no idea. It could just also be some random non-baseball dude who happened to have a photo taken for all we know.

I'm thinking this is Jack Warhop based on ear shape and the bump on his earlobe. But I saw that listing too and have gone back and forth between Camp and Warhop. Currently I'm undecided.

I see the bump your refering to, but the top of the same ear on Warhop photos have a different inner ridge shape to me. Also, again to me, The SABR photo I feel you can see the same uni brow shape which Warhop doesn't seem to have. I included a Warhop photo and a page of the Auction where I believe the Warhop photo is the bottom left image which you can also see the odd shape of the top of inner ear ridge. Thanks for your response
